It is becoming increasingly difficult to browse the net and remain safe from the various temptations online.

I feel it would be appropriate to share any ideas that we come by so that we can have a safer and productive web experience. Here are few things that I adhere to.

I have shifted to gmail and have removed even the non-invasive (word) adverts that used to come on the right hand side of the page. This way I do not get distracted.

Another thing that can help a great deal is controlling the emails that you get. Unsubscribe to any emails that are not appropriate.

And for God’s sake remove that useless page as your homepage! Put a news page or your email page or something that you want to go to very often, not msn or yahoo.

Do you have any bright ideas?

  1. I was using Gulfnews.com as my homepage and realized how something to do with Bollywood was always the first item on the page so shifted to it to http://gulfnews.com/news/world

This way I go straight in for the important news and move on to whatever I was browsing.

I am also considering http://gulfnews.com/business for office.
